My name is Lars Svensson and I have been driving and working with  Willys Overland Jeeps for almost 50 years. It all started in 1961 when I purchased my first Jeep. It was a 1950 CJ3A and I paid 1500 Skr (about $200). Five years later I found a CJ2A from 1948 outside a garage in the south of Sweden. This Jeep had serviced in the Swedish Telephone Company from 1948 until I purchased it in 1966. It was in a very bad shape. For this old wreck I paid 700 Skr (around $100). This was a big sum of money at that time, especially for a young student. I worked with this old CJ2A for several months almost without knowing anything about  cars, but all went well and I still own this old CJ2A.

Today I have a little business that restores engines, gearboxes, axles and so on. I also have a lot of spare parts for sale. 2009 I retired from my school work as a teacher in maths and tecnology.

Me and my wife Katrina live in the outskirts of Mariestad, a little town situated at the waters edge of the lake Vanern. At one side of the house we have forrest and no houses and at the other side we have lovely neighbors.
