The MB/GPW Regulator

When you open one of these old regulators you can sometimes find everything inside in perfect shape but most of them are damaged by rust and moisture.
Even if everything looks perfect you must check all the contact points and clean them. Under the mounting plate there are three carbon resistors. It is essential to check that they are undamaged and without any cracks. When I had cleaned al parts of this regulator I tested it at the local car electricians test bench together with a MB generator. It worked perfectly.
